Transcribify Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are between you ("you" or "your") and Transcribify ("Transcribify", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using our Services in any way, by completing the account registration process, or by browsing our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

These Terms apply to your access to and use of Transcribify's website, services, and products, including AI-powered audio and video transcription, speaker detection, multi-language support, transcript editing tools, and API services (collectively, the "Services").

IF YOU SUBSCRIBE TO ANY PLAN, YOUR SUBSCRIPTION WILL AUTOMATICALLY RENEW FOR ADDITIONAL PERIODS OF THE SAME DURATION UNLESS YOU CANCEL FROM YOUR ACCOUNT SETTINGS BEFORE THE NEXT BILLING DATE.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last Updated" date indicates when these Terms were last changed. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@transcribify.com if you suspect unauthorized access. Account credentials may not be shared with others.

Usage Measurement

Usage is measured in audio/video minutes processed. One minute of submitted audio consumes one minute of your monthly allowance, regardless of the number of speakers or output format. Monthly limits reset on the 1st of every calendar month.

Overage Policy

When your monthly transcription allowance is exhausted, new transcription jobs will be paused until your limit resets at the start of the next billing period. No automatic overage charges apply.

API Access

Transcription via API is available on eligible paid plans. API usage is counted against your monthly minute allowance.

3. Audio Content and Transcripts

Your Content Rights

You retain all rights to the audio, video, and transcript content you create using our Services. Transcribify does not claim ownership of your uploaded files or generated transcripts.

Audio Submission

By uploading audio or video files, you confirm that you have the legal right to submit that content for transcription and that doing so does not violate any third-party rights, applicable laws, or these Terms.

Content Restrictions

You may not use the Services to transcribe or process:

Transcript Accuracy

Transcribify uses AI to generate transcripts. While we strive for high accuracy, we do not guarantee that transcripts will be error-free. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any transcripts before use.

Commercial Use

Paid plans include a full commercial use license for all transcripts generated — including use in videos, podcasts, publications, products, client work, and other business applications.

4. Payment and Billing

Subscription Renewals

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled in your account settings before the renewal date.

Payment Methods

We accept payment via Bakong KHQR (Cambodia's national QR payment system) and other methods as displayed at checkout. You authorize us to charge your selected payment method for all applicable fees.

Billing Cycles

Monthly subscriptions are billed monthly on the date you initially subscribed. Billing occurs automatically at the start of each new period.

Plan Changes

You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing period.

5. Refunds and Cancellations

Money-Back Guarantee

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on new subscriptions. If you are not satisfied, contact support@transcribify.com within 7 days of your initial payment to request a full refund.

No Refunds on Renewals

Renewal payments are non-refundable. Cancel your subscription before the next billing date to avoid charges.

Cancellation Process

You may cancel your subscription at any time via your account settings. Access to paid features continues until the end of the current billing period.

Account Closure

Upon account closure, your transcript history, uploaded files, and credits are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

6. Intellectual Property

Our Rights

Transcribify retains all rights to its software, AI models, systems, and technology. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, decompile, or redistribute any part of our technology.

License to Use

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for your personal or business purposes in accordance with your chosen plan.

"As Is" Basis

The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

Modifications

We reserve the right to change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time, with or without notice.

Third-Party Dependencies

Our transcription pipeline relies on third-party AI providers and cloud infrastructure. We are not liable for service interruptions caused by those providers.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Transcribify's total cumulative liability for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or the Services is limited to the greater of:

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Privacy and Data

Data Collection

We collect and process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

Audio Data

Audio and video files you upload are processed solely to provide the transcription service and are automatically deleted from our servers within 24 hours of job completion. We do not use your audio data to train AI models without explicit consent.

Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data in transit and at rest. We cannot guarantee absolute security of any internet-based system.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason with reasonable notice. Upon termination, your right to access the Services ends immediately, and any unused subscription time is forfeited.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Cambodia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising under or relating to these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

14. Miscellaneous

Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Transcribify regarding your use of the Services.

Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.

Assignment: You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms. Transcribify may assign its rights without restriction.

Waiver: Failure by Transcribify to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
